Then again, unlike Orlove, Kubica drives over trees and through picnic areas, so maybe this ditch jump was his out of his own initiative?

I just watched the videos, and I didn't like the co-driver.

Maybe it's the fact that he was giving the pacenotes in Polish (which I think isn't compact enough for that), but I felt that his description of the unfortunate corner on which Robert failed wasn't perfect. The co-driver's speech isn't very clear, but he definitely says 'Right 3, late exit'. I think the crash may have been a result of inadequate or straight up wrong pacenotes.

The ditch bit wasn't so much his thing anymore. He finished every WRC2 race he started last year, winning all but two of them and finishing second in one of the two races he didn't win. He also came from 12 seconds behind at the start of the last stage (with a new co-driver, in a new car, and on ice for the first time) to win the ERC Jänner Rallye by 20 seconds at the start of the year.

What are the spectators saying right after he Orloved the car? Were they yelling about the flames?

That turn looked tricky. I would have had a big ass asterisk in the notes for that one.

That was Spanish and they said "no se arriméis", which means "don't get closer". You can also hear somebody yell "stay clear".
